Junior Code of Conduct
PARENTS /SPECTACTORS
- Encourage children to participate whatever their ability.
- Encourage participants to always play by the rules.
- Never ridicule mistakes or losses.
- Remember that participants learn best by example. Applaud good play by all the players.
- Never publicly disagree with officials. If you disagree with an official, raise the issue privately through appropriate channels.
- Actively discourage discrimination of any type
- Recognize the value of volunteer assistance.
- Remember that participants play for fun and not for the entertainment of the spectators. Nor are they miniature professional.
- Condemn the use of violence in any form, be it by spectators, coaches, officials or players.
- Encourage players to follow the official’s decisions.
- Demonstrate exemplary social behavior at all times by not using foul language, or harassing players, coaches or officials.
- Adhere to the dress standards of the Gosnells Golf Club.
JUNIORS
- Adhere to the rules of Golf at all times and abide by the West Australian Golf Association “ Code Of Conduct “ (http://www.wagolf.com.au/guests/memos.mhtml )
- Adhere to the rules of the Gosnells Golf Club.
- Understand that when playing at other courses you remain an ambassador of the Gosnells Golf Club and as such are expected to act in accordance with the rules of the club that you are at.
- Demonstrate exemplary social behavior at all times by not using foul language, or harassing players, coaches or officials.
- Support and encourage fellow players.
- Recognize the value of volunteer assistance.
- Treat with respect all other members of the Golf Club.
- Always notify the relevant people before withdrawing from organised competition.
- Juniors under the age of 18 are not allowed to purchase alcoholic beverages on the golf club facilities including premises and playing areas.
- Never withdraw mid round from competition unless under duress from injury. This must be reported to the tournament officials
- The rules of golf do not allow individuals to ignore others breaking the rules. The same penalty will apply to those who knowingly let others break the rules.
- Never publicly disagree with officials. If you disagree with an official, raise the issue privately through appropriate channels.
- Juniors are not allowed to consume alcohol , or “ cigarettes etc.” on the golf club facilities .
- Never withdraw mid-round unless under duress from injury , or “illness””
CONSEQUENCES
- Disciplinary action will be taken by the Junior Committee dependant on the severity of the offence. Serious misdemeanors may result in suspension of membership.
Please read this carefully When you have done so and accept that you understand all the points listed please sign attached form. When completed please return to the Gosnells Golf Club Office and a copy placed on your file. Failure to forward this will result in the loss of your playing privileges.
