Fees

Subscription fees 2022/2023

Our club treasurer has highlighted the importance of managing our club finances in the last newsletter and staying true to this, we will be doing an unjust to our fiscal responsibility by not raising the membership fees in line with our post-COVID impacted expenses. The reality is hard. The Board has convened many times in the last few weeks to look at all measures to ensure that our members receive the best value membership and ensuring that the Club's cash do not fall in the red.

You don't have to look far to know that times have changed significantly in the last few months and this will continue in the financial year ahead.

We have removed the $300 house credit that is currently applied to all affected categories and it will be replaced by a $300 levy that is broken down to $200 capital works levy and $100 house levy.

Subscription fees (with exception of 9 hole and lifestyle) have increased by 5% to reflect increased pressure of expenses.

Lifestyle membership had an increase of 7.3% to be in line with $13 per credit amount. Members will continue to receive 100 points credit at the start of the financial year. Lifestyle members will also see a difference of points applied for access (comp and casual inclusive) and these are:

Weekday 18 holes: 3 points

Weekday 9 holes: 2 points

Weekend 18 holes: 5 points

Weekend 9 holes: 3 points

9 hole membership is a great option for members that want to enjoy their game in a 9 hole capacity. However, we felt that the premium of this category wasn't in line with the membership fees paid by weekday members (equivalent) therefore we have realigned the fees to be a 70% premium of weekday membership. We are also in the process of introducing competitions for 9 hole members so please be patient with us as we work through the logistics of implementing 9 hole competitions on weekdays.

Members will receive an email shortly to advise on their category subscription fees and we request any members that would like to change their membership category as of 1 July to advise us before 1 June. Please advise your changes directly to Lee-Anne (membership@gosnellsgc.com.au). We are aiming to produce membership invoices from 1 June week. Associates that haven't advise us otherwise will be placed in the weekday membership category.

Non playing members (or those on medical leave) is $450 per year.

House Membership

We will continue to offer house membership for those who wish to utilise our facility and hospitality without golf course access. The house membership fee remain at $100 inclusive of $50 house credit.

Facilities - Locker and Buggy

Buggies stored in our facility (powered or non powered) has increased to $350 per year. Ride on buggies has increased to $450 per year.

All facility fees must be paid upfront (will be applicable in the first payment if you are on a payment plan)

Locker fees remain as per previous year. $22 for women and $50 for men.

Credit card surcharges

We will be applying credit card surcharges for subscription payment only from 1 June 2022. Over the counter (office) payment is 1% surcharge and online (via Stripe) is 1.75% + $0.60. There are no surcharges for payment via cash or direct deposit to our bank account.

Monthly payment plans

Bank fees and merchant fees via our subscription platform, EziDebit has increased significantly over the past years and our Club can't continue absorbing the fees in our operations. Additionally, monthly payment plan will now be reduced from 12 months to 9 months to provide ease of administration and establish the fiscal position for the Club by March next year. (July to March).

Members will be charged $25 for each transaction. For monthly payers, that equates to $225 annual fee ($25 x 9 months). For 6 monthly payers, that equates to $50 annual fee ($25 x 2).

Please note that the charge of $25 per transaction also provides flexibility for members in the payment plan.

Thank you for your continued support and we hope that you will continue to enjoy your membership, comraderies, friendship and belonging to one of the best clubs, Gosnells Golf Club.

Josiah and Shane WA Open 2022

WA Open Results

Club members, Jarryd Felton, Josiah Edwards, Andrew Woods and Jose De Sousa were proud club representatives of Gosnells Golf Club at the recently held WA Open.

Jarryd Felton finished in 37th position with rounds of 69,73, 71,71 and Josiah finished in 62nd place with rounds of 70,73,76,74. Andrew and Jose didn't make the cut but kudos to both for getting through as qualifiers for the event.

Special mention to Josiah - setting record at WA Open for the youngest to make the cut in the field at an impressive age of 15. Josiah has also been selected by Golf Australia to represent Australia in an upcoming tournament in Singapore. Well done Josiah!

Our club president, Shane, certainly earning his caddy stripes - caddying for Josiah in the qualifying round and the following 4 rounds of competition golf!
