Range

Range works 


Fellow members,

The earthworks and preparation work for the range will commence from Wednesday, 15 June. It is estimated that the range will be out of operations for at least a month (potentially up to 2 months).

All lessons will be conducted at the back of the 13th hole on a temporary set up (with turf taken from the back of the current range to the new temporary area). 

Range would not be available for pennant warm up on Sunday 19 June and Monday 20 June. We will advise the affected clubs shortly. Please arrange alternative arrangements for warm up if you are playing pennant on the dates above. 

We appreciate your understanding and consideration in the matter.

A reminder that your house credit for this financial year will expire on 30 June. 

We have a new staff member starting with us in the office. Aleisha has just joined as our administrator, and will replace Jeanette who will be retiring in July. Aleisha is in her 3rd year of PGA associate (management studies) and recently moved back to Perth after a few years in Melbourne. We welcome Aleisha to the GGC team. 

Trang, our long time serving casual in our hospitality team is also leaving. Trang has been with us for almost 7 years and having graduated recently with a marketing degree, she will be starting her full time role as the marketing and communications officer in Royal Fremantle Golf Club. We wish her all the best in her next stage of career. Her last day with us is 26 June 2022.

Julie has also joined us as a new staff member in hospitality in a casual role. Please say hello and make Julie welcome when you see her next at the bar. 

Junior open

Junior Open - 8 July 


Registration is now open for the Junior Open, to be held at Gosnells Golf Club on Friday, 8 July.

We have received OK from the City of Gosnells to utilise the range on the morning of 8 July for the tournament.  The range is open only to players in the tournament and will be supervised to ensure irons only on the range.

Vasse felix luncheon

Vasse Felix Luncheon 


We recently hosted a full table of 32 members and guests for the Vasse Felix long luncheon on Friday 4 June. 

The 5 course meal and accompanying wines were widely well received by guests.

We thank you for your support.

The next wine and luncheon is Peter Lehmann long table luncheon on Friday 15 July (from 12pm). Enjoy a 6 course lunch with special guest Malcolm Stopp, ambassador for Peter Lehmann.
