From Club Captain

Dear fellow members,

As you are all aware by now, as of 1 July 2022, there will be changes to membership categories, coinciding with this we have had to make changes to competitions.

As of 1 July, Saturday AM competitions will become M&L (Men & Ladies) in line with our Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday PM and Sunday fields.

We will also be reinstating Saturday AM presentations at the conclusion of the morning competition; you will also notice that we will be running separate nearest pins for the AM & PM competitions which are for both M&L.  We will have 2 all day nearest pins (super pin and SM sports voucher).  We ask that the last groups of each competition bring in the nearest pins and return them to the pro shop in a timely manner at the conclusion of play for staff to finalize results enabling timely presentations to take place.

In other news we a happy to announce the commence of a nine-hole competition that will be held on a Wednesday morning commencing 6 July 2022. This nine-hole competition will be a club run event aimed not only at veteran players but all those members wishing to play, commencing at 8:10 off both tees.  This event will be open to both Casual and Competition players, competition fee will be $5 and you will need to advise the pro shop before the commencement of your round.  Prize allocation will be as per all other club competitions rewarded to your club account.

COURSE CARE

Just a reminder about general course care.  Please repair divots, pitch marks and rake bunkers.  We also remind members we have bins located all around the golf course so PLEASE use them.

If you see others miss treating our course, please SPEAK UP, this is your course and should treated respectfully.

All together we can make sure that our course stays in tip top condition.

BOOKING SHEET

A reminder to all golfers that course access is via the Pro Shop and the Booking Sheet, you must have your name on the online booking sheet to play and if your name is not in it, you must follow the instruction from member of the pro shop staff.  BE READY TO PLAY AT YOUR ALLOCATED TIME OR RISK LOSING YOUR CHANCE TO PLAY.

FIRST LIGHT GOLFERS

As of 1 July, first light golfers are no longer permitted to play on the golf course before the first tee time of the day. This ensures that our course staff receive full access to the course prior to play on the day and it takes the pressure off pro shop staff needing to be on site when light appears. As advised above, if your name is not on the time sheet, you are not allowed to play on the golf course.

Quick updates

Range: The Council has completed works on the range as agreed. We will be installing retic and lights on the range end of this week. We have ordered astroturf and once we have completed the works for astroturf, the existing turf will be re-applied on the range.

Strictly, the range is OUT OF USE untill we have completed all necessary works.

The only exception to this is the use of the range for players warm up on Friday 8 July when we host our club's Junior Open.

thank you

Membership Update

We bid farewell and thank you to our members that will soon depart and leave the Club from 1 July. We hope you had a wonderful time at the Club and friendships were made for a life time.

Please advise any of your friends that wish to join us as new members that there will be a nomination fee of $550 from 1 July. If you join before 1 July, this nomination fee does not apply. (though the membership can start from 1 July but application form must be received prior to 1 July).

There are no exemptions for nomination fees. Nomination fees will ensure the viability of our capital funds for future capital projects.
