Gosnells junior open success

The Gosnells Junior Open was a resounding success with over 98 juniors participating in both stroke and stableford division.

Defending champion, Joseph Buttress (WAGC) took home the crown in the boys division, narrowly beating our own, Josiah Edwards by one stroke and Isabella Leniartek (MLGC) won her first open title in the girls division.

The nett division winner for the boys was won by Justin Lim (70) from MLGC and the girls nett division winner was our own Aileen Sirait with 72.

In the stableford division (hcp above 13), our own club member Brianna Chueakrungthep won with a score of 42 points. Runner up in this division is also club member Sharanya Mohan with 41 points.

Thank you to all the event organisers and club volunteers on the day and we truly appreciate hosting another successful junior open.

Quick updates

We will be trialling table service for member account charge OR card charges only (no cash) in the main lounge bar, after golf service on Saturday 30 July, Saturday 6 August and Thursday 11 August. Over the bar service still available on dates above particularly for those using cash.

On Saturday 6 August, we will be holding our first members lucky draw for a monthly car spot. This golden ticket will be drawn monthly from our pool of annual payers (of all categories). The draw will be held after golf on Saturday and the lucky winner will be advised on Monday and published on the website.

Fundraising for Josiah

We will be holding a fundraising raffle draw (after golf) for Josiah Edwards on Saturday 30 July.

Josiah Edwards has been selected in the 2022 School Sport WA Golf State Team to travel to Bellarine Peninsula in August.

Please help Josiah raise funds to get him to Victoria to represent the State and Gosnells Golf club.

We will have raffle tickets available in the pro shop from tomorrow (Tuesday 26 July) for purchase.

Raffle ticket is $5 each.

Roast Turkey - Sunday Lunch

Plenty of spots available for our last roast in July. We will be serving roast turkey on Sunday 31 July from 12pm.

Roast Turkey with roasted butternut pumpkin, parsnips, herb & garlic roasted potatoes with red wine jus, peas & cranberry sauce along with a complimentary glass of house beer, wine or soft drink.

$26.50 per person.
