I, Selva Kumar, wish to advise members that I have graciously decided to withdraw my candidacy for one of the two Non-Executive position of the GGC Board.

As a nominee for non-executive board membership, I was invited for a confidential meeting with President Shane Thompson.

At this meeting, I was appraised of key projects being conducted by the board of management. Specifically, the work tasked by the two current non-executives in Charlotte Hall and Robert Olde. Removing either of these existing non executive members could prejudice the successful completion of this work and detrimental to the future well being of the club.

Accepting, in good faith, I have therefore withdrawn my nomination. I have the board's assurance that, in due course, when the current projects are successfully completed, members will be fully appraised of the benefits to the club and understand why I have withdrawn my candidacy.

Therefore, I ask of all Club members to fully support both other nominees, Charlotte Hall and Robert Olde and have confidence in their ability to assist the board of management to achieve the goals set.

I trust that members alike will be understanding and patient. I believe the proposed future for our club will significantly enhanced the amenities for all members.

Above all, what matters is the very best for our members and the Club.
