We still have 16 spots available for our Melbourne Cup event next Tuesday, 1 November. Book now to avoid disappointment. Cost for event is $75pp that includes lunch, 4 x on course beverages (alcoholic and non alcoholic), post golf platters and great prizes in the golf competition. Please arrive by 10.30am for the sweeps, raffles and lunch will be served from 11.15am. Shotgun tee off at 12.45pm.

Kayo now showing inside lounge

Due to popular request from members, we are now showing Kayo in our inside lounge TV. If you would like staff to show a specific channel, please advise bar staff.

Pace of Play

Pace of play continues to be a point of discussion (apart from course care) so to clarify, the standard pace of play at Gosnells Golf Club for 18 holes is 4 hours 10 minutes with an additional 10 minutes for stroke rounds. Please be mindful of your pace of play when playing. A general rule is to always keep up with the group in front. If you have lost the sight of your group in front, please pick up your group's pace of play.

Friday night dining

Our average number for Friday night dining has gone down tremendously in the last 6-12 months. At this point, it is no longer viable for the Club to hold Friday night dining for our members and guests unless our numbers improve.

We are pleased to hear that members often rave on the food quality and service of our dining offers but this is not reflected in our numbers.

We don't operate as a restaurant (nor can we do takeaway for public under our license) therefore please be advised if the trend continues, we may need to reduce our Friday night dining to once a month or less.

We will monitor the numbers in the next 3 Fridays and a decision will be made end of November.

Gossips from Around the Traps

Congratulations to club members, Regina and Manfred Supper - new grandparents! Regina takes the title of Super-Grandma by delivering the baby at home (too quick for hospital). What a super-grandma!

Club member Peter Salamon had an Albatross on the 2nd hole on Thursday 20 October and no one was happier for him than the group of members that received free drinks over the bar, after golf. Thanks Peter for your generosity!

Congrats to club member, Brodee Foster securing the $3000 grand prize as the inaugural Streamer Screamer in the West Australian paper. Brodee plays for WA under 21 hockey side and he won the award by scoring a goal from an impossible angle. The goal was selected as the standout local sporting highlight from more than 100 entries in the competition by sports streaming platform at streamer.com.au. Brodee was also named player of the tournament at the under 21 championships with 15 goals. Well done Brodee!

Containers for Change - Juniors Fund

Are you a Container Saver?

Have you noticed the specially marked bright yellow "sulo" bins on course and around the clubhouse?

To aid our junior fundraising we have signed up for the Containers for Change program.  This program sees 10 cents paid for each eligible container returned.

On behalf of our juniors, we are asking all members to look out for the yellow bins out on course and around the clubhouse.  When out on course please consider holding onto that container until you come across one of the bin locations (please remove the lid prior to placing in the marked bin).

Not sure what an eligible container is - it's simple, if it has the 10c notation on the container - then it is eligible.  The majority of glass, plastic and aluminium drinks sold at Gosnells Golf Club are eligible containers.

Want to do more?

You can bring your containers from home to the club and place in one of the specially marked bins.  Alternatively you can do your own recycling at home and when lodging the containers use our Containers for Change member number of C10686765.  Our juniors will thank you.

Ladies Open Day 2022 - Winners

The Ladies Open day was a successful and enjoyable day, despite the smaller number of visitors  who entered this year. Our members continued the celebrations by taking out all the prizes on the day. Thank goodness we didn't win all the special raffles too.

Tee signage sample

On Course Tee Signage Sponsorship

Our tee signages on course are old and outdated.

It is time to change our on course tee signages.

We have received a sample tee sign that has no relevance to GGC layout or details (pictured). The sample pictured is only to show the signage size and where the business will be advertised (interchangeable) below the tee signage.

We now seek sponsors from our membership and local businesses for an opportunity to advertise their business on a 12 month period.

The sponsorship is only $1500 + GST. (Jan to December every year).

We do need a minimum of 12 sponsors to replace our 18 tee signages on course. If you are interested to sponsor, please contact Fiza (email address).
