General Update

Change of staff - department change

Due to opportunities in service and for staff - Aleisha Weidmann, our current administrator will be moving into the pro shop from next week. Aleisha is a current PGA associate (last year) and her extensive background in golf will be an asset in the pro shop. Aleisha will predominantly be working on Wednesday and Friday. She will also be running the drinks cart on Thursdays.

Aleisha starts next week.

Due to Aleisha's departure, Marilyn Spagnolo from the Bar will come into the role of Administrator in the office. Marilyn has a background in office administration and her familiarity with our business and different departments no doubt will serve us well in administration.

Marilyn will start in 2 weeks.

Birthday vouchers - automated from MiClub

We were advised by some members that they have not received their automated birthday vouchers. Upon checking in the system, it seems that there is a glitch in the system and the last produced birthday voucher was issued on 22 Feb.

We are still working with MiClub to rectify this issue.

Manual birthday vouchers will be emailed to members next week (or when the system has been fixed).

We thank you for your patience.

A kind reminder that you can now use your birthday voucher ($20) for any purchases in bar or pro shop.

Drinks cart service

Please be patient with us as we proceed with the staff departmental change as advised above. The drinks cart service for Thursday when Aleisha is available will be a moving drinks cart throughout the course from 12pm to 4.30pm.

On Saturdays, it will remain stationary (for now) between the 14th green and 4th tee.

A counter sign will be up in the pro shop to advise golfers on whether it is a moving or stationary drinks cart on either Thursday or Saturday. We aim to provide both services for the next few months and gauge the general response from members.

New event - Masters Breakfast and Golf (Easter Monday)

We are pleased to announce the creation of a popular event in many clubs - the Masters Breakfast and Golf on Easter Monday, 10 April. Watch the LIVE telecast of the final round of The Masters from 6am with a delicious selection of buffet breakfast and an expected shotgun start to our golf around 8 to 8.30am (depending on the end of the LIVE broadcast).

The winner of this event will have a unique opportunity to name the new tap beer at the Club.

The entry fee of $40 for members and $55 for guests includes breakfast and golf.

The timesheet is now open for members and their guests.

New event - Friday Afternoon $15 Specials

For those who are new, we hold our popular Twilight Competitions every Friday, teeing off from 3pm in Summer and 2pm in Winter.

After golf, come in to the Clubhouse and take advantage of our new offer for Fridays. From next Friday, 17 March, we have $15 specials of Chicken Schnitzel or Beef Burger for anyone feeling that pang of hunger after golf.

Best news - you don't have to be a golfer to take advantage of this - if you are exhausted after work on Fridays, this special is available to cook from the kitchen with last order at 7.45pm. Please support this new initiative to ensure its continuance.

Troober Prime Offer for GGC Members

Late last year, we advertised that the Club has arranged for a special club price for GGC members. The offer still stands. With our tight corners in our car park, I'm sure this is an offer that is of great value to our members.

They are happy to cover existing damages to your car under the membership offer to get the ball rolling.

The offer:

$300 membership fee per year and receive unlimited repairs for minor dents and scratches at a small price of $50 per repair. This price also includes a yearly clean and detail.

They will come to us. So, have your car repaired on site at GGC while you play golf. Win-win!
