We are buzzing!
Our 2023 Gosnells Senior Open was held yesterday with a full field of 120 players (and a waiting list), which indicates the growing popularity of this event. Thank you to the generosity of Caralee Medical Group (via club member Lino Scartozzi) for their sponsorship of this event.
Wow - what a day it was!
I have been approached countless times by our own members and visitors (from RFGC, RPGC, Wanneroo, Harvey, Hartfield and the Vines) around the course and in the clubhouse, commenting on the terrific state of our course conditions, the event and the food served after.
I reiterate the same message as last week's newsletter - we have so many reasons to be a proud member of GGC.
This morning, I had a quiet chat with a few top players in the State and many reiterated the same opinion - they couldn't believe how great our course is for our flagship event. Particularly, the play and conditions of our greens.
I also want to take this opportunity to advise members that the cycle of our course/greens runs through the year and we will soon come into dormancy and winter weather. It is the cycle (similar to other golf courses) but we hope to continue improving it with peaks during our flagship events. This is one of the peak times so please enjoy it as much as you can.
Let's ride this wave of positivity in the Club and invite your friends to come and play and enjoy our hospitality off the course. We have Friday night dining this week (Friday 28 April) and Mother's Day Buffet Breakfast on Sunday 14 May.
Good luck to all players competing in our flagship GGC Open today and tomorrow.
Happy Eid al-Fitr for all our members celebrating today.
