Local Rules (Important Update to 9th/18th Penalty Area effective from Friday 5 April)
The 9th and 18th lake has been filled for our open events in April.
Until further notice, with the area returning to a traditional red penalty area with water, the drop zones for 9 and 18 have been removed as "no play zone" status. This means that if your ball is in the penalty area, you can choose to play the ball.
Relief from the penalty area can be taken in accordance with Rule 17.1d, which provides the following options:
- Stroke and distance relief (playing a ball from where they played the previous ball)
- Back on line relief (keeping the estimated point where the ball last crossed the penalty area and the hole - with no limit on how far back they go)
- Lateral relief ( two club lengths from where the ball last crossed the penalty area but not closer to the hole)
As water starts to recede from the lake, if there is insufficient rain to keep the lake full, it is likely we will return to the current arrangements of compulsory drop and a drop zone.
To clarify, if any part of your ball touches the red penalty area line, your ball is in the penalty area.
Please note the 15th hole penalty area remains a No Play Zone and relief must be taken. A Drop Zone remains for this penalty area should you choose to take that option.

Masters Breakfast & Golf Monday 15 April
Unfortunately, due to the low number of responses, we will be cancelling this event. The timesheet and booking window will revert to normal with a 7 day booking window for everyone.
Open events
A gentle reminder that entries for the Mens Senior Open close on 17 April and the Gosnells Open (Men and Women) closes on 15 April.
ANZAC Day
The timesheet will open for all members on Thursday 11 April at 6pm. As this event is an Honour Board event, in line with our policy for such events, all adult playing members will have equal access to the timesheet. Juniors with adult access playing rights will be able to play if there are vacant spots in the field.
A special ANZAC Day newsletter will be issued by Friday 19 April to provide further detail on the events of this special day in our calendar.
A reminder that there is no AM competition or casual play on ANZAC Day as a mark of respect to those who served us.
Pace of Play
All groups in the field must regularly monitor their place of play. If your group is behind, pace of play strategies should be used by the group until such time as you have regained your place in the field. This includes strategies such as after two players have putted out, they should start heading to the next tee. Whilst it is important for the first groups in a field to maintain a good pace of play, it is equally important for the last group in the field to maintain their pace of play - particularly when members are waiting for presentations to occur.
Now that we are getting some stability with our pro shop staffing - you can expect to see some regular marshalling to monitor groups for their pace of play.
