President's Update

Last Friday was our annual Gala Night. This important event is an opportunity for members to come together and share their achievements with family and friends. There were more than 100 people in attendance.

We acknowledged members who had achieved membership milestones, announced our volunteer of the year, recognised our club champions, inducted 3 members into the Hall of Fame and elected member Greg Rowden to Life Membership.

I would like to thank our GM Fiza for her oversight in the event and to Gus and his team in the kitchen who put on an amazing dinner service. As was with last year's event, we heard amazing tributes and storytelling about the history of past members which makes our club so great. I look forward to next year's event.

Restricted Members - access to Thursday and Saturday time sheets (for competition only)

The board have recently conducted a review of playing categories and timesheet access. As a result, the board have decided to open the premium day access to restricted members with the following conditions:

Access to the timesheet will be 5 days prior - thus still affording full and lifestyle members ample opportunity to access premium days
Cost of competition applies - same as full and lifestyle members
Restricted members will also incur the cost of "the members guest fee" which is currently $50 (increasing to $55 from 1 January 2025) and is payable at the time of booking - as the restricted member is playing out of the category. No restrictions on the number of times this is allowed.

We believe this window will provide access to some restricted members who wish to occasionally play in the competition on a Thursday or Saturday. The members' guest cost is applied to ensure equity in member pricing is maintained.

Vice President's Update

Dear Members,

As we approach the end of another fantastic year, I am delighted to share some exciting news about the progress and milestones we've achieved together.

The City of Gosnells has unanimously approved our development application for the construction of the much-anticipated Halfway Hut. This project will significantly enhance our facilities and provide:

New ablutions to better serve our members and on-course golf.
A canteen for a quick refreshment stop during your game.
Act as a shelter for inclement weather, particularly; when heavy rain, hail and lightning.
Plus a spacious decking area offering a prime viewing location for golf events and gatherings.

The Halfway Hut will become a valuable addition to our club, enhancing the overall experience for golfers and spectators alike.

In addition to the Halfway Hut project, we've advanced the design and planning for the redevelopment of our current clubhouse and the construction of a state-of-the-art golf facility. This new development is set to include:

A modern pro-shop for all your golfing needs.
A welcoming café and indoor playground, for a family-friendly environment.
An undercover driving range for year-round practice.
Cutting-edge indoor golf simulation technology.
Comprehensive practice facilities and training areas designed to support golfers of all levels.

We are finalising plans and reports for the lodgement of the development application with the City of Gosnells in the coming weeks.

While we look to incorporate new facilities to meet the growing demand for off-course amenities, the Club remains committed to preserving the exclusivity of our 18 hole course for members and social groups and corporate events. Additionally, the enhanced practice facilities will be accessible to the wider community of golfing enthusiasts, seeking to foster growth in the sport and attract new members.

These exciting projects reflect our vision to elevate the Gosnells Golf Club experience and secure its place as a premier destination for golf and "the Club of Choice" in the Southern corridor of Perth.

Summer Trial Membership

We are excited to launch a new summer trial membership for any prospective members. This is a great Christmas present for any who may be thinking of joining us.

The offer is $500 for 2 months, 5 days access only. The days excluded are Sunday and Monday.

It starts from 1 December 2024 and the last day to join is 31 January 2025.

Member Referral Incentive

We are also excited to launch a new member referral incentive for our existing members.

Propose a new prospective and be rewarded!

You must complete the form and refer the new prospective to us. You must attend their new member induction and ideally, introduce them to the membership so that they receive the best welcome.

If you introduce a full member, the reward is $500 credit to your account. The reward is then $300 for restricted or lifestyle and $100 for young adult. Juniors and house members are exempted from this referral incentive.

Please note that you are ineligible for this referral incentive if your prospective first joined as a trial member during our upcoming Summer promotion period.

Summer Cup 2025

The 2025 Gosnells Golf Club Summer Cup will be held on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th of January 2025.

$50 per person (Gosnells Golf Club members)

Entries Open:

2pm Friday 29 November (members) TOMORROW in our club timesheet

5pm Monday 16 December 2024 (visitors) in Mitournament.

The entries are received on as first come first serve so book in now as it is often a full field (with waitlist)

Volunteer at IJG Gosnells Event

We are looking for volunteers to assist in the upcoming IJG Junior Invitational from December 16th-18th.

This is an official WAGR event that will be played over 54 holes at Gosnells Golf Club. The club is seeking volunteers in the form of starters, spotters and on course scorers.

This 54 hole WAGR junior event is the first in recent years held in a Perth metropolitan course and we would love for you to be involved in the event.

GGC Gala Night was a success!

Over 100 members and their guests attended our annual GGC Gala Night on Friday 22 November and photos from the night is now available to view.

Thanks again to Dee Dee Burr, who have kindly took up the task of taking the photos in the night and everyone looks fantastic!

Thanks to all who attended and made the night memorable and congratulations to all of our members who were recognised for their incredible achievements. A special mention to Colin Gorey, Lino Scartozzi and Denis Wilkins (post humous) on being inducted into the Hall of Fame, and to Greg Rowden who was officially presented his Club Life Membership.
