Dear MembersThere has been a lot happening around the club recently. The newly formed Committee Group has held its second meeting, and please to say that we are working on forward planning strategies to enhance the overall member experience. Looking ahead to next year, a key focus will be working behind the scenes to continually improve the playing conditions and facilities for all members. A topic discussed was the development of our new Extreme Weather Policy, which includes guidance for wet weather conditions. The club has experienced an unusually wet season, which has impacted the playing surfaces and access to the course. However, if you’ve had the opportunity to play at other facilities recently, you’ll find they too have had to adapt to similar challenges. The Policy will cover - Course access and temporary closures to safeguard vulnerable areas.
- Cart use rules during adverse weather.
- How we will notify members of any restrictions or closures.
As we head into a period of renovations and the busy summer months, please rest assured that this policy will serve as a guiding framework next winter, helping us manage weather-related impacts effectively. The goal is to ensure the course remains in good condition and accessible for everyone, now and into the future. On behalf of the Committee and the Operations team, thank you for your patience and understanding during this wet part of the golfing calendar. As the weather turns and we approach warmer months, our focus is on preparing for an enjoyable summer season.
