PROUD CHAPTER FOR GGC

It’s been an incredible season for Gosnells Golf Club in the GolfWA Pennants. First, the Women’s Team brought home the Division 1 flag, and just this past Sunday, the Men’s Team secured the Division 2 flag and earned promotion to Division 1 next year.

This marks a historic moment for the club and is a true reflection of the dedication of our players, staff, and everyone working behind the scenes.

A huge thank you to all for your continued support. We encourage all our teams to keep up the great work and continue making the GGC community proud!

LIFE ON TOUR

JOSIAH EDWARDS

Josiah Edwards competed at the prestigious 120th Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship held at Rivermead Golf Club (RIV) and Royal Ottawa Golf Club (ROY) in Gatineau, Québec.

He posted a 73 (+3) in Round 1 at Rivermead, followed by a 74 (+4) in Round 2 at Royal Ottawa, totaling +7 over the first two rounds.

Although the cut line was just out of reach, Josiah gained valuable experience competing at this high level and looks forward to his next challenges.

SECONDARY SCHOOLS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS (28 JULY - 1 AUGUST)

Several of our junior members have been representing WA this week in Queensland at the Secondary Schools National Championships.

Monday 28 July

Gozzy ladies did it again with a clean 4–0 sweep over Hartfield in Round 3 of the Women’s Senior Pennant. They now face Royal Fremantle. Let’s keep the winning streak going!

GOSNELLS GOLF CLUB VOLUNTEER CALLOUT

We are seeking passionate volunteers to assist us during an exciting period of renovation!

Dates: September 8 – 12, 2025

Time: 7:00 am – 6:00 pm

The course will be temporarily closed as we carry out important enhancements to the Course, Driving Range, and Clubhouse.

Our beloved members are invited to join and be a part of this transformative process. Your help will make this project a success and ensure our club remains a fantastic place for everyone.

CHASE THE ACE

The chase for the ace continues, and the odds are tightening.
The next draw will be on Thursday, 7 August, following the afternoon competition at around 5 PM

AUGUST GOLDEN TICKET CARPARK

Shaun Roser is the lucky winner of the Golden Ticket Carpark for the month of August.

Each month, a member's name is randomly selected for the rights to this carpark located next to the ramp leading up to the flagpoles.

SATURDAY ORDER OF MERIT

After 19 rounds, Terry Gale holds the lead in the 2025 RSM Saturday Order of Merit (OOM) with 609 points.

The winners of weekly Saturday competitions (AM & PM) will gain 90 OOM points. Points then decrease in increments of 3 down the leaderboards. At the end of the OOM season, the member with the most points will win $450 onto their Club prize account.

The Club would like to thank RSM Australia and Club member Greg Dudley for the continued support and sponsorship of this competition.

WOMEN'S ORDER OF MERIT

After 17 rounds, the Wednesday Women's Order of Merit is heating up with Bong Oak Lee currently out in front with a four point lead over Kymberley Wilson.

Sponsored by the Club, women's OOM points are given out each Wednesday to the top ten place getters in the weekly women's 18 hole competition.

1st place receives 10 points with points decreasing in increments of 1 up until 10th position. Good luck to all our women members vying for the 2025 Order of Merit crown.
