PRESIDENT UPDATE

On behalf of the Board, and in my role as President, I’m pleased to share an update on the significant organisational and structural changes we’ve implemented over the past four months. These developments reflect our strong commitment to the Club’s long-term success and to delivering the best possible experience for all members.

As the golf landscape continues to evolve rapidly, both nationally and globally, we see exciting opportunities ahead. Golf remains one of the most popular participation sports in Western Australia and across the country, and our aim is to ensure Gosnells Golf Club is well-positioned to thrive in this changing environment.

To achieve this, the Board has taken proactive steps to strengthen our management structure - recruiting talented, motivated professionals who share our vision and values.

We’re pleased to introduce several key appointments that have already made a positive impact:

·  Shaun Malone, General Manager, whose leadership over the past four months has already driven improvements in both operations and culture.

·  Liam Somers, Course Superintendent

·  Emma Liebenau, Golf Operations Manager

·  Nigel Cameron, Clubhouse Manager

These strategic additions have significantly enhanced our Club’s standing, positioning Gosnells Golf Club as an employer of choice, a club that attracts top-tier talent and earns the respect of industry peers.

With Shaun’s guidance, the Board has also focused on improving governance by refining decision-making processes and increasing transparency. Recent member forums have provided valuable insights, and your feedback continues to help shape our direction. The response to both Shaun and the board has been overwhelmingly positive, and we sincerely appreciate your encouragement, support and thoughtful contributions. 

Together, we are committed to building a vibrant, inclusive and sustainable future for Gosnells Golf Club - one defined by excellence in service, facilities and community engagement.

We are grateful for your ongoing support and trust as we navigate this exciting period of growth. The Board and management team remain dedicated to delivering a strong and successful future for all members.

Welcome - Brodee Foster to GGC Team

GOLF CART POLICY

Members may have noticed a new system at Golf Operations. We are introducing a new cart policy to ensure quality control and help maintain the best equipment for our members for years to come. This initiative is part of our commitment to providing a top-quality golfing experience and preserving the condition of our course.
