Dear Members,
I am Liam Somers and It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as the new Course Superintendent here at Gosnells Golf Club,
My professional background in Turf management is vast and I bring with me over 25 years experience managing and maintaining golf courses, ensuring optimal playing surfaces and implementing sustainable practices.
I have been fortunate enough to work at some world class courses both here in Australia and overseas and I’m very much looking forward to the task ahead to provide all members with a golf course that’s maintained to the best possible standard and provides a challenging and enjoyable golfing experience for all.
Away from work most of my time is taken up enjoying time with my family, I have 3 young daughters, but I am also a passionate golfer myself and try to play whenever possible, it gives me a great opportunity to see the course from a different perspective.
I look forward to meeting you all in the coming weeks, please feel free to pop into the maintenance facility when passing to say hello.
