Men’s Senior Open – 17 April 2026

Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility

A senior golfer is a playing member of a Club who is the age of 55 years and above as of 17th April 2026.

Entrants must have an Australian GA Handicap and be a member of a bricks and mortar private Metropolitan, Suburban or Country Golf Club affiliated with Golf WA as determined by Gosnells Golf Club Committee Group.

Players must have played 10 GA rounds in last 12 months to qualify for nett division prizes. Entrants with league handicaps and who are members of social clubs (without a golf course base) are not eligible to enter.

2. Entry fee

An entry fee of $70 (visitors) and $40 (GGC Members) is payable at the time of entry. Payments will not be accepted on the day of the competition. No refunds will be given after the draw is finalised.

3. Format

Men – Players with a GA handicap of 10.2 and below will play stroke, players with a GA Handicap above 10.3 will play Stableford. Tee off from blue tees.

In the event of a tie, first gross ties will be played on a sudden death basis using holes 1 and 9. All other ties will be decided using, the Australian Countback system will be applied.

4. General

The field will be limited to 120 players – in the event of a full field higher handicap players will be balloted out first.

The field will be limited for entries received in MiTournament at 120 to allow for administration of refunds at event of field ballot.

Players will be able to directly book themselves and three other players into the timesheet– payment of the entrance fee will be required at time of entry. Carts are permitted and must be booked by calling the proshop.

 

If the entries have reached 120 capacity, players may call GGC pro shop directly at 9455 1983 to be entered into the waiting list (without payment required) but phone call must be received prior closure of event entries.

5. Event Management

All competitors shall be under the discretion of the Gosnells Golf Club Committee Group who have power to:

• Vary the conditions of play as may be deemed necessary.

• Refuse entry to any person.

• Penalize any competitor for slow play.

• Accept late entries.

• Resolve disputes.

 

6. Disputes

Any disputes will be decided by the Committee Group.

Any protests must be submitted in writing to a tournament official within 15 minutes of completion of round.

7. Motorised Carts

The Club has a limited fleet of 40 motorised carts that can be booked through the Golf Shop. Note, carts will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Bookings for carts must be done directly by calling pro shop 9455 1983 and payable on the day. Carts are $50 per cart for non members and $20 for GGC members (no split payments).

8. Dress Standards

Dress standards – players are required to comply with the dress code set by Gosnells Golf Club on the course and in the Clubhouse.

9. Closing date

Entries will close on the 10th of April at 5pm.

The draw will be published on the 14th April 2026 at 5pm on the Gosnells Golf Club website.
