New coaching hub positions club as the Mecca of the South for golf – driving benefits across the City of Gosnells
Gosnells Golf Club today announced the official opening of the Gosnells Golf Academy, a comprehensive coaching and development initiative designed to establish the club as the Mecca of the South for golfers of all ages and abilities and to deliver lasting benefits for the wider City of Gosnells.
The Academy will deliver consistent coaching pathways for juniors, adults, local schools and community groups. Programs are designed to strengthen player retention, introduce new participants to the game, and provide clear development opportunities from beginner skill levels through to competition-ready golfers. By investing in the Academy, the Club is investing not just in its future but in the broader Gosnells community.
Appointed Head Coach Leading the Academy is Scott McLean, who returns to Gosnells Golf Club. McLean brings extensive coaching experience, a successful track record in developing junior talent, and strong ties to the local community. In his role he will oversee structured skill-development programs, mentor aspiring players, and support golfers transitioning into competitive play.
“I am excited to return to Gosnells and help build an inclusive, high-performance pathway for golfers of all ages,” said Scott McLean. “We will focus on skill development, confidence building and creating opportunities for players to progress.”

The Gosnells Golf Academy will work closely with the City of Gosnells, local schools, community groups and existing club members to deliver tailored programs, clinics and school holiday coaching. Details on program schedules, fees and how to enroll will be released in the coming weeks.
